Registration for 2023 entry to the BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre is now open.
Applying to Urdang is different to other undergraduate courses so please read and follow the steps below carefully. They explain the application and audition process as well as how UCAS fits in.

From late September you can start your application. You will be emailed an activation link, so do check your spam and junk folders for this.
Once registered you will be able to complete the online application form with your personal details and upload the requested headshot. This does not have to be a professional photograph.
UK applicants audition in person and are invited via email with guidance on what to wear and how to prepare You will be asked to take part in a ballet class, a jazz class and to perform at least one song from a musical and an acting monologue of your choice.
International applicants are invited to audition via video submission.
Once you have completed stages 1&2 please email us urdang.admissions@city.ac.uk to let us know you will submit a video.

Confirm you will attend your audition by logging into the Urdang site (link to). We cannot process your application without this. You can also select an alternative date here if required.
Attend your audition on the confirmed date. The day usually lasts from 8:30am to around 6.00pm. You must arrive on time at our Old Finsbury Town Hall building.

Your application for entry in September 2023 should arrive at UCAS between September 2022 and 25th January 2023.
Applications that arrive after 25th January 2023 will be considered only at City’s discretion.
Once you have made your UCAS application, offer-holders will also receive an official offer letter from City, University of London with the academic conditions of your offer via email and your UCAS record will be updated.
You must log in to the Urdang website to provisionally accept or decline your place within 14 days of receiving your offer OR tell us you need more time to consider.
This is in order for us to manage the limited spaces we have on each course. You will also be asked to complete a short medical questionnaire.
If you do not accept by the deadline you may be placed on a waiting list for a place. We will be in touch later in the year should a suitable place become available.
You must also accept or decline your place on UCAS or select us as your insurance place.
Conditional offers will become unconditional once the required grades are achieved.
For 2023 entry Urdang is now accepting applications from all international candidates.
If you are NOT based in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland we will accept an audition via video.
You can of course, still attend in person, although you will have to submit some video material for visa purposes if you pass the first round of auditions.

When recording ensure you are in a safe and well-lit environment.
Upload to a shared (not public) YouTube account OR via WeTransfer.
Email the link to: urdang.admissions@city.ac.uk by your audition date. If you need more time, please ask.
We will aim to get a result to you within 14 days.
You will also need to have made an application via UCAS for any potential offer to processed. All offers are conditional on high-school academic and English language qualifications.
